Hazel has been part of the Let’s Talk team as Practice Manager since it was established in 2014. While maintaining this role she pursued her studies at the University of Namibia and obtained her BA Social Work Honours degree. Hazel is part of the clinical team at Let’s Talk while maintaining her role as General Manager of the practice.
Hazel’s infectious style and positive approach make her a favourite in delivering workshops on employee wellness, trauma debriefing and psychosocial issues in a Namibian context. Hazel brings about positive change by engaging in group counselling, family therapy and community work.
She enjoys working with different individuals with a special interest in victims and survivors of gender-based violence. Her other interests include employee wellness, palliative care and grief counselling. Hazel’s approaches to counselling are person-centred and supportive to create a safe space in which clients can thrive and grow.
In her free time, she is an avid marathon runner and enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
